Isa 2:3-5 And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the House of the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, and let Him teach us His ways, and let us walk in His paths, for out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah, and the Word of יהוה from Yerushalayim.” Footnote: His ways, His paths, the teaching and the Word of יהוה are used synonymously.
4 And He shall judge between the nations, and shall reprove many peoples. And they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither teach battle any more.
5 O house of Yaʽaqoḇ, come and let us walk in the light of יהוה.
Gen 1:1-31 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.
2 And the earth came to be1 formless and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim was moving on the face of the waters. Footnote: 1Or the earth became.
3 And Elohim said, “Let light come to be,” and light came to be.
4 And Elohim saw the light, that it was good. And Elohim separated the light from the darkness.
5 And Elohim called the light ‘day’ and the darkness He called ‘night.’ And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the first day.
6 And Elohim said, “Let an expanse come to be in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”
7 And Elohim made the expanse, and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it came to be so.
8 And Elohim called the expanse ‘heavens.’ And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the second day.
9 And Elohim said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it came to be so.
10 And Elohim called the dry land ‘earth,’ and the collection of the waters He called ‘seas.’ And Elohim saw that it was good.
11 And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the plant that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth.” And it came to be so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, the plant that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.
13 And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the third day.
14 And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years,
15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so.
16 And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars.
17 And Elohim set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And Elohim saw that it was good.
19 And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the fourth day.
20 And Elohim said, “Let the waters teem with shoals of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens.”
21 And Elohim created great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters teemed, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.
22 And Elohim blessed them, saying, “Bear fruit and increase, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
23 And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the fifth day.
24 And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: livestock and creeping creatures and beasts of the earth, according to its kind.” And it came to be so.
25 And Elohim made the beast of the earth according to its kind, livestock according to its kind, and all that creep on the earth according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.
26 And Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and over all the earth and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the earth.”
27 And Elohim created the man in His image, in the image of Elohim He created him – male and female He created them.
28 And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them, “Bear fruit and increase, and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over all creatures moving on the earth.”
29 And Elohim said, “See, I have given you every plant that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed, to you it is for food.
30 “And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to every creeping creature on the earth, in which there is life, every green plant is for food.” And it came to be so.
31 And Elohim saw all that He had made, and see, it was very good. And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the sixth day.
Gen 2:1-25 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array.
2 And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
3 And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made.
Second
4 These are the births of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that יהוה Elohim made earth and heavens.
5 Now no shrub of the field was yet on the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for יהוה Elohim had not sent rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground,
6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the entire surface of the ground.
7 And יהוה Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of life. And the man became a living being.
8 And יהוה Elohim planted a garden in Ěḏen, to the east, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
9 And out of the ground יהוה Elohim made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, with the tree of life in the midst of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Ěḏen to water the garden, and from there it divided and became four riverheads.
11 The name of the first is Pishon, it is the one surrounding the entire land of Ḥawilah, where there is gold.
12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium is there, and the shoham stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Giḥon, it is the one surrounding the entire land of Kush.
14 And the name of the third river is Ḥiddeqel, it is the one which goes toward the east of Ashshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
15 And יהוה Elohim took the man and put him in the garden of Ěḏen to work it and to guard it.
16 And יהוה Elohim commanded the man, saying, “Eat of every tree of the garden,
17 but do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that you eat of it you shall certainly die.”
18 And יהוה Elohim said, “It is not good for the man to be alone, I am going to make a helper for him, as his counterpart.”
19 And from the ground יהוה Elohim formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.
Third
20 So the man gave names to all livestock, and to the birds of the heavens, and to every beast of the field. But for the man there was not found a helper for him, as his counterpart.
21 So יהוה Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept. And He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 And the rib which יהוה Elohim had taken from the man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And the man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. This one is called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of man.”
24 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, yet they were not ashamed.
Gen 3:1-24 And the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which יהוה Elohim had made, and he said to the woman, “Is it true that Elohim has said, ‘Do not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We are to eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden,
3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim has said, ‘Do not eat of it, nor touch it, lest you die.’ ”
4 And the serpent said to the woman, “You shall certainly not die.
5 “For Elohim knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be like Elohim, knowing good and evil.”
6 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, and she took of its fruit and ate. And she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made loin coverings for themselves.
8 And they heard the sound of יהוה Elohim walking about in the garden in the cool of the day, and Aḏam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of יהוה Elohim among the trees of the garden.
9 And יהוה Elohim called unto Aḏam and said to him, “Where are you?”
10 And he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid myself.”
11 And He said, “Who made you know that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
12 And the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I ate.”
13 And יהוה Elohim said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
14 And יהוה Elohim said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all livestock and more than every beast of the field. On your belly you are to go, and eat dust all the days of your life.
15 “And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed1. He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel.” Footnote: 1First promise of the Messiah.
16 To the woman He said, “I greatly increase your sorrow and your conception – bring forth children in pain. And your desire is for your husband, and he does rule over you.”
17 And to the man He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘Do not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground because of you, in toil you are to eat of it all the days of your life,
18 and the ground shall bring forth thorns and thistles for you, and you shall eat the plants of the field.
19 “By the sweat of your face you are to eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you return.”
20 And the man called his wife’s name Ḥawwah, because she became the mother of all living.
21 And יהוה Elohim made coats of skin for the man and his wife and dressed them.
Fourth
22 And יהוה Elohim said, “See, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever...”
23 so יהוה Elohim sent him out of the garden of Ěḏen to till the ground from which he was taken,
24 and He drove the man out. And He placed keruḇim at the east of the garden of Ěḏen, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Gen 4:1-26 And Aḏam knew Ḥawwah his wife, and she conceived and bore Qayin, and said, “I have gained a man from יהוה.”
2 And again, she gave birth to his brother Heḇel. And Heḇel became a keeper of sheep, but Qayin became a tiller of the ground.
3 And it came to be, in the course of time, that Qayin brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to יהוה.
4 And Heḇel also brought of the first-born of his flock and of their fat. And יהוה looked to Heḇel and his offering,
5 but He did not look to Qayin and his offering. And Qayin was very wroth, and his face fell.
6 And יהוה said to Qayin, “Why are you wroth? And why is your face fallen?
7 “If you do well, is there not acceptance? And if you do not do well, sin1 is crouching at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should master it.” Footnote: 1Sin (transgression of the law) was already then known, as we also read in 39:9.
8 And Qayin told Heḇel his brother. And it came to be when they were in the field, that Qayin rose up against Heḇel his brother and killed him.
9 And יהוה said to Qayin, “Where is Heḇel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s guard?”
10 And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.
11 “And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
12 “If you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.”
13 And Qayin said to יהוה, “My punishment is too great to bear!
14 “See, You have driven me from the face of the ground today, and I am hidden from Your face. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and it shall be that anyone who finds me kills me.”
15 And יהוה said to him, “Well, if anyone kills Qayin, vengeance is taken on him sevenfold.” And יהוה set up a sign for Qayin, lest anyone finding him kills him.
16 So Qayin went out from the presence of יהוה and dwelt in the land of Noḏ on the east of Ěḏen.
17 And Qayin knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Ḥanoḵ. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Ḥanoḵ.
18 And to Ḥanoḵ was born Iraḏ. And Iraḏ brought forth Meḥuya’ĕl, and Meḥuya’ĕl brought forth Methusa’ĕl, and Methusa’ĕl brought forth Lemeḵ.
Fifth
19 And Lemeḵ took for himself two wives, the name of one was Aḏah, and the name of the second was Tsillah.
20 And Aḏah bore Yaḇal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents, with livestock.
21 And his brother’s name was Yuḇal. He was the father of all those who play the lyre and flute.
22 As for Tsillah, she also bore Tuḇal-Qayin, a smith of all kinds of tools in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tuḇal-Qayin was Naʽamah.
Sixth
23 And Lemeḵ said to his wives, “Aḏah and Tsillah, hear my voice! Wives of Lemeḵ, listen to my words! For I have killed a man for wounding me, even a young man for hurting me.
24 “For Qayin is avenged sevenfold, and Lemeḵ seventy-sevenfold.”
25 And Aḏam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Shĕth, “For Elohim has appointed me another seed instead of Heḇel, because Qayin had slain him.”
26 And to Shĕth, to him also a son was born. And he called his name Enosh. Then it was begun to call on the Name of יהוה1. Footnote: 1The first record of “calling on the Name of יהוה”
Gen 5:1-32 This is the book of the genealogy of Aḏam. In the day that Elohim created man, He made him in the likeness of Elohim.
2 Male and female He created them, and He blessed them, and called their name ‘Aḏam’ in the day they were created.
3 And Aḏam lived one hundred and thirty years, and brought forth a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Shĕth.
4 And after he brought forth Shĕth, the days of Aḏam were eight hundred years. And he brought forth sons and daughters.
5 So all the days that Aḏam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6 And Shĕth lived one hundred and five years, and brought forth Enosh.
7 And after he brought forth Enosh, Shĕth lived eight hundred and seven years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
8 So all the days of Shĕth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and brought forth Qĕynan.
10 And after he brought forth Qĕynan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12 And Qĕynan lived seventy years, and brought forth Mahalal’ĕl.
13 After he brought forth Mahalal’ĕl, Qĕynan lived eight hundred and forty years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
14 So all the days of Qĕynan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15 And Mahalal’ĕl lived sixty-five years, and brought forth Yereḏ.
16 And after he brought forth Yereḏ, Mahalal’ĕl lived eight hundred and thirty years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
17 So all the days of Mahalal’ĕl were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
18 And Yereḏ lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and brought forth Ḥanoḵ.
19 And after he brought forth Ḥanoḵ, Yereḏ lived eight hundred years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
20 So all the days of Yereḏ were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21 And Ḥanoḵ lived sixty-five years, and brought forth Methushelaḥ.
22 And after he brought forth Methushelaḥ, Ḥanoḵ walked with Elohim three hundred years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
23 So all the days of Ḥanoḵ were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 And Ḥanoḵ walked with Elohim. Then he was no more, for Elohim took him.
Seventh
25 And Methushelaḥ lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and brought forth Lemeḵ.
26 And after he brought forth Lemeḵ, Methushelaḥ lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
27 So all the days of Methushelaḥ were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28 And Lemeḵ lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and brought forth a son,
29 and called his name Noaḥ, saying, “This one does comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which יהוה has cursed.”
30 And after he brought forth Noaḥ, Lemeḵ lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
31 So all the days of Lemeḵ were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
32 And Noaḥ was five hundred years old, and Noaḥ brought forth Shĕm, Ḥam, and Yepheth.
Gen 6:1-8 And it came to be, when men began to increase on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
2 that the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men, that they were good. And they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
3 And יהוה said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever in his going astray. He is flesh, and his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of Elohim came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, the men of name.
Maftier
5 And יהוה saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And יהוה was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
7 And יהוה said, “I am going to wipe off man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping creature and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
8 But Noaḥ found favour in the eyes of יהוה.
Isa 42:5-25hus said the Ěl, יהוה, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it:
6 “I, יהוה, have called You in righteousness, and I take hold of Your hand and guard You, and give You for a covenant to a people, for a light to the gentiles,
7 to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
8 “I am יהוה, that is My Name, and My esteem I do not give to another, nor My praise to idols.
9 “See, the former predictions have come, and new ones I am declaring; before they spring forth I let you hear them.”
10 Sing to יהוה a new song; His praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you coastlands and you inhabitants of them!
11 Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages where Qĕḏar dwells. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give esteem to יהוה, and declare His praise in the coastlands.
13 יהוה goes forth like a mighty man. He stirs up ardour like a fighter. He cries out, yea, shout aloud. Over His enemies He shows Himself mighty.
14 “I have kept silent from of old, I have been still and held Myself back. Like a woman in labour I now cry out, I pant and gasp at once.
15 “I lay waste mountains and hills, and I dry up all their plants. And I shall make rivers become coastlands, and I dry up pools.
16 “And I shall lead the blind by a way they have not known – in paths they have not known I lead them. I make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These matters I shall do for them, and I shall not forsake them.
17 “Those who trust in idols, who say to the moulded images, ‘You are our mighty ones,’ shall be turned back, utterly ashamed.
18 “Hear, you deaf! And look, you blind, and see.
19 “Who is blind but My servant, or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is at peace, and blind as servant of יהוה?
20 “You see much, but do not observe; ears are open, but do not hear.”
21 It has delighted יהוה, for the sake of His righteousness, to make the Torah great and esteemed.
Sephardim, the community of Frankfurt am Main, and Chabad Chassidim conclude the Haftarah here. Others continue.
22 But this is a people robbed and plundered, all of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses. They have become a prey, with no one to deliver – for plunder, and no one to say, “Restore!”
23 Who among you gives ear to this, pays attention and hears for the time to come?
24 Who gave Yaʽaqoḇ for plunder, and Yisra’ĕl to the robbers? Was it not יהוה, He against whom we sinned? For they would not walk in His ways, and they did not obey His Torah!
25 So He has poured on him His burning displeasure and the strength of battle, and it set him on fire all around, yet he did not understand. And it burned against him, yet he did not take it to heart!
Isa 43:1-10ut now, thus said יהוה, your Creator, O Yaʽaqoḇ, and He who formed you, O Yisra’ĕl, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, you are Mine.
2 “When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through rivers, they do not overflow you. When you walk through fire, you are not scorched, and a flame does not burn you.
3 “For I am יהוה your Elohim, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, your Saviour; I gave Mitsrayim for your ransom, Kush and Seḇa in your place.
4 “Since you were precious in My eyes, you have been esteemed, and I have loved you. And I give men in your place, and peoples for your life.
5 “Do not fear, for I am with you. I shall bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west.
6 “I shall say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth –
7 all those who are called by My Name, whom I have created, formed, even made for My esteem.”
8 He shall bring out a blind people who have eyes, and deaf ones who have ears.
9 All the nations shall be assembled, and the peoples be gathered. Who among them declares this, and show us former events? Let them give their witnesses, to be declared right; or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”
10 “You are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Ěl formed, nor after Me there is none.
Joh 1:1-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
3 All came to be through Him,1 and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. Footnote: 1Eph. 3:9, Col. 1:16, Heb. 1:2, Heb. 11:3, 2 Peter 3:5, Ps. 33:6.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6 There was a man sent from Elohim, whose name was Yoḥanan.
7 This one came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all might believe through him.
8 He was not that Light, but that he might bear witness of that Light.
9 He was the true Light, which enlightens every man, coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world came to be through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of Elohim, to those believing in His Name,
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the desire of flesh nor of the desire of man, but of Elohim.
14 And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent1 among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth. Footnote: 1An indication that His birth was during the Festival of Booths
Bereishit
Bereishit Aliya Summary
General Overview: In the Torah's opening reading, Bereishit, G‑d creates the world in six days and rests on the seventh. Adam and Eve eat from the Tree of Knowledge and are expelled from the Garden of Eden. Cain slays Abel and is punished accordingly. Enumeration of the ten generations between Adam and Noah, the birth of Noah, and the degeneration of mankind.
First Aliyah: This section recounts the story of creation in six days. On the first day G‑d made darkness and light. On the second day He formed the heavens, dividing the "upper waters" from the "lower waters." On the third day He set the boundaries of land and sea and called forth trees and greenery from the earth. On the fourth day He fixed the position of the sun, moon and stars. Fish, birds and reptiles were created on the fifth day; land-animals, and then the human being, Adam, on the sixth. G‑d ceased work on the seventh day, and sanctified it as a day of rest.
Second Aliyah: This section discusses the events of the sixth day of creation in greater detail. After Adam was formed from the earth, G‑d placed him in a garden just east of Eden. G‑d permitted Adam to eat from any tree in the garden, with the exception of the Tree of Knowledge. Adam named all the animals and birds, and G‑d decided that Adam needed a mate.
Third Aliyah: G‑d caused Adam to fall into a deep slumber and formed a woman, Eve, from one of his sides. Adam was delighted with his new mate. The serpent, at the time the wisest of all animals, sweet-talked Eve into eating from the fruit of the forbidden Tree of Knowledge. Eve shared the fruit with Adam, and imbued with a new sense of knowledge and awareness, they were ashamed of their nakedness and clothed themselves. The fallout was quick to come: G‑d cursed the serpent, Eve, and Adam too, with various maledictions.
Fourth Aliyah: Adam and Eve were then expelled from the idyllic Garden of Eden. Eve gave birth to two sons, Cain and Abel. When Abel's offering to G‑d was accepted, while Cain's was rejected, Cain murdered his brother in a jealous rage. G‑d punished Cain, designating him to be a lifelong wanderer, but postponing his ultimate punishment for seven generations.
Fifth Aliyah: The sixth generation descendent of Cain was Lemech, who fathered several children -- seventh generation descendents of Cain.
Sixth Aliyah: Lemech accidentally killed his great-great-great-great-grandfather Cain in a hunting accident; the blood of Abel was finally avenged. Adam and Eve gave birth to a third son, Seth. This section then chronicles the first seven generations of mankind, from Adam to the righteous Enoch.
Seventh Aliyah: The next three generations are chronicled in this section -- concluding with Noah, the tenth generation from Adam. At this point in time, the wickedness and immorality of the people on earth reached such proportions that G‑d regretted creating man. G‑d gave the world 120 years to clean up their act or be destroyed. Noah, on the other hand, was an exception. He was righteous and found favor in G‑d's eyes.

Notice:
Day Three, the Third Day
Gen 1:11-13 And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the plant that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth.” And it came to be so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, the plant that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.
13 And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the third day.
Exo 19:11 and shall be prepared by the third day. For on the third day יהוה shall come down upon Mount Sinai before the eyes of all the people.
Exo 19:15-16 And he said to the people, “Be prepared by the third day. Do not come near a wife.”
16 And it came to be, on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain. And the sound of the ram’s horn was very loud, and all the people who were in the camp trembled.
Jos 1:11 “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare food for yourselves, for within three days you are passing over this Yardĕn, to go in to possess the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to possess.’ ”
Num 19:11-16 ‘He who touches the dead of any human being is unclean for seven days.
12 ‘He is to cleanse himself with the water on the third day, and on the seventh day he is clean. But if he does not cleanse himself on the third day, then on the seventh day he is not clean.
13 ‘Anyone who touches the dead of a human being, and does not cleanse himself, defiles the Dwelling Place of יהוה. And that being shall be cut off from Yisra’ĕl. He is unclean, for the water for uncleanness was not sprinkled on him, his uncleanness is still upon him.
14 ‘This is the Torah when a man dies in a tent: All who come into the tent and all who are in the tent are unclean for seven days,
15 and every open vessel which has no cover fastened on it, is unclean.
16 ‘Anyone in the open field who touches someone slain by a sword or who has died, or a bone of a man, or a grave, is unclean for seven days.
Jon 1:17 But יהוה appointed a great fish to swallow Yonah. And Yonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.
Hos 6:2 ‘After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him.
2Ki 20:5 “Return and say to Ḥizqiyahu the leader of My people, ‘Thus said יהוה, the Elohim of Dawiḏ your father, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. See, I am going to heal you. On the third day go up to the House of יהוה.
2Ki 20:8 And Ḥizqiyahu said to Yeshayahu, “What is the sign that יהוה does heal me, and that I shall go up to the House of יהוה the third day?”
Ezr 6:15 And this House was completed on the third day of the month of Aḏar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Sovereign Dareyawesh.
1Co 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised the third day, according to the Scriptures,
1Co 15:20 But now Messiah has been raised from the dead, and has become the first-fruit of those having fallen asleep.
Notice the third day of creation. We can say Yom HaBikkurim of creation. The First Fruit of the Creation of the world.
So it shall be like it is written:
Hos 6:1-3 ‘Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up.
2 ‘After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him.
3 ‘So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.’
Yom HaBikkurim fell on Nisan 16. People believe the Resurrection of Messiah was on Nisan 16, 3793 (33 C.E.). Like Shavuoth on the 16 of Nisan and ‘filled with the Set-apart Spirit’ Act 2:4 on the 16 of Nisan
First Fruit:
Rom 11:16 Now if the first-fruit is set-apart, the lump is also. And if the root is set-apart, so are the branches.
1Co 15:20 But now Messiah has been raised from the dead, and has become the first-fruit of those having fallen asleep.
1Co 16:15 And I urge you, brothers, you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia, and that they have assigned themselves for service to the set-apart ones,
Mat 1:25 but knew her not until she gave birth to her Son, the first-born. And he called His Name יהושע.
Luk 2:7 And she gave birth to her first-born Son, and wrapped Him up, and laid Him down in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in a lodging place.
Rom 8:29 Because those whom He knew beforehand, He also ordained beforehand to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, for Him to be the first-born among many brothers.
Col 1:15 who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation.1 Footnote: 1Heb. 1:6, Rev. 3:14.
Col 1:18 And He is the Head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that He might become the One who is first in all.
Heb 1:6 And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”
Heb 11:28 By belief, he performed the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the first-born should touch them.
Heb 12:23 to the entire gathering and assembly of the first-born having been enrolled in heaven, and to Elohim the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect,
Rev 1:5 and from יהושע Messiah, the trustworthy witness, the first-born from the dead, and the ruler of the sovereigns of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
Rev 3:14 “And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia write, ‘The Amĕn, the Trustworthy and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Elohim,1 says this: Footnote: 1Col. 1:15, Heb. 1:6.
Please: ‘Come, and let us turn back to יהוה Ephraim and Yudah’?

From the same as H6723 in the sense of conspicuousness (compare H5329); a monumental or guiding pillar: - sign, title, way mark. (Strong)
O maiden of Israel ‘put-on’ these ‘tsiyunim’ and come back.
Maybe not how we Jews do it, but there should be not so much different. We put a ‘strong-fence’ around these ‘tsiyunim’, maybe a double fence. Because we don’t like to come to the same level of chattath (sins) as where we were when we loosed our Temple. But did we have a choice? Without ……..
We did so much our best to fulfill them but…….. Many gave up. Others became hypocrites. But still there are many lovers of Torah in Judaism. Please look at them. Try to be together with us. And let we learn.
And Ephraim (Christian’s, all who like to live here in Israel) come:
Zec 9:13 “For I shall bend Yehuḏah for Me, I shall fill the bow with Ephrayim, and I shall stir up your sons, O Tsiyon, against your sons, O Greece, and I shall make you like the sword of a mighty man.”
O maiden of Israel (Yudah and Ephraim) let we learn to put on the ‘tsiyunim’ together. Abba said ‘I shall bend Yehuḏah for Me’ (Not to bend Yudah to Christian Teaching or an ‘variant’ of it. Abba shall bend Yudah to himself) and fill the bow with you: Ephraim (Christians) ‘the bow of Yudah’. Not to bring Christianity, or a variant, to the Jews. No! Fill the bow of Yudah with Ephraim. With His ‘tsiyunim’.
When Yeshuah is in you, The Living Word of YHWH is in you. That is our Messiah. Abba YHWH is our Messiah! (Please click: He came to Tabernacle among us for further reading about our Messiah)
There is no other Messiah:
Isa 43:11 “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no savior.
Deu 32:39 ‘See now that I, I am He, And there is no Elohim besides Me. I put to death and I make alive. I have wounded, and I heal. And from My hand no one delivers!
Joh 8:28 So יהושע said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Aḏam, then you shall know that I am He, and that I do none at all of Myself, but as My Father taught Me, these words I speak.
Do you know, that you can find in Scripture,
‘YHWH Elohim called’ 96 times
‘YHWH said’ 5697 times?
You can read it for yourself. YHWH’s Words are really ‘speaking’. In reality He speaks much more times in Scriptures. And see that the 613 times here written is more for educational purpose. But they are the ones that can bring us together here in Israel.
With the above in you Ephraim Abba shall fill ‘the bow of Yudah’. ‘Than shall The bow of Yudah’ be filled with (an outcry from you Ephraim?):
Exo 15:2 “Yah is my strength and song, and He has become my deliverance. He is my Ěl, and I praise Him – Elohim of my father, and I exalt Him.
Than shall Abba YHWH fulfill:
Isa 11:11-16 And it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur (here you disappeared under the people of our world Ephraim but…) and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shinʽar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.
12 And He shall raise a banner for the nations (I believe that is Yeshuah Rabbeinu our Messiah), and gather the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, and assemble the dispersed of Yehuḏah from the four corners of the earth.
13 And the envy of Ephrayim shall turn aside (no more jealous on Yudah) , and the adversaries of Yehuḏah (Our bad mistakes shall go away) be cut off. Ephrayim shall not envy Yehuḏah, and Yehuḏah not trouble Ephrayim.
14 But they shall fly (we together) down upon the shoulder of the Philistines (Palestinians? Which people in the first place are not good for the Islamite’s? The Jews and the Christians?) For the west; together they plunder the people of the east, their hand stretching forth on Eḏom and Mo’aḇ (Jordan?), and the children of Ammon shall be subject to them.
15 And יהוה shall put under the ban the tongue of the Sea of Mitsrayim, and He shall wave His hand over the River with the might of His Spirit, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and shall cause men to tread it in sandals.
16 And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, those left from Ashshur (Ephraim, The Northern Tribes), as it was for Yisra’ĕl in the day when he came up from the land of Mitsrayim.
When we came up, out from the land Mitsrayim we where together. Thanks to Yoseph. Please read his life story? And the blessing from Ya’acob to Ephraim and Manashe, the two sons of Yoseph.
But later…… Do you ‘remember’?
Exo 19:1-16 In the third month after the children of Yisra’ĕl had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, on this day they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.
2 For they set out from Rephiḏim, and had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Yisra’ĕl camped there before the mountain.
3 And Mosheh went up to Elohim, and יהוה called to him from the mountain, saying, “This is what you are to say to the house of Yaʽaqoḇ, and declare to the children of Yisra’ĕl:
4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.
5 ‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine –
6 ‘and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation.’ Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl.”
7 And Mosheh came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which יהוה commanded him.
8 And all the people answered together and said, “All that יהוה has spoken we shall do.” So Mosheh brought back the words of the people to יהוה.
When, we read further in our history. We all know what we did…… Abba YHWH blessed us when we obeyed His voice! But we went far, far away from His Voice…… O Wee…..
O Israel, please come back? Come let we try to listen again? And say to each other:
Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the House of the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, and let Him teach us His ways, and let us walk in His paths. For out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah, and the word of יהוה from Yerushalayim1.” Footnote: 1Isa. 2:3.
Isa 2:3 And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the House of the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, and let Him teach1 us His ways1, and let us walk in His paths1, for out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah1, and the Word1 of יהוה from Yerushalayim.” Footnote: 1His ways, His paths, the teaching and the Word of יהוה are used synonymously.
Because He made The Covenant also with you:
Deu 29:14-15 “And not with you alone I am making this covenant and this oath,
15 but with him who stands here with us today before יהוה our Elohim, as well as with him who is not here with us today.
From the 613 Mitswoth basic on ‘the counting’ of Philip Blackman:
1. Do: A man must take a wife and beget offspring.
Gen 1:22 And Elohim blessed them, saying, “Bear fruit and increase, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
To think about:
Gen 2:21 So יהוה Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept. And He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
Gen 2:23 And the man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. This one is called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of man.”
Gen 2:24 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Mat 19:5 and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
Mat 19:6 “So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what Elohim has joined together, let man not separate.”
1Co 6:16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a whore is one body? For He says, “The two shall become one flesh.”
Eph 5:22-33 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Master.
23 Because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Messiah is head of the assembly, and He is Saviour of the body.
24 But as the assembly is subject to Messiah, so also let the wives be to their own husbands in every respect.
25 Husbands, love your wives, as Messiah also did love the assembly and gave Himself for it,
26 in order to set it apart and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word,1 Footnote: 1Rev. 19:8-9.
27 in order to present it to Himself a splendid assembly, not having spot or wrinkle or any of this sort, but that it might be set-apart and blameless.
28 In this way husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but feeds and cherishes it, as also the Master does the assembly.
30 Because we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
31 “For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
32 This secret is great, but I speak concerning Messiah and the assembly.
33 However, you too, everyone, let each one love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she fears her husband.
