Exo 39:2  And he made the shoulder garment of gold, of blue and purple and scarlet material, and of fine woven linen.
Exo 39:3  And they beat out sheets of gold and cut it into threads, to work it in with the blue and purple and scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skilled workman.

Exo 40:4  “And you shall bring in the table and arrange what belongs on it, and bring in the lampstand and light its lamps.
Exo 40:5  “And you shall set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Witness, and put up the covering of the door to the Dwelling Place.

Exo 40:14  “And you shall bring his sons and put long shirts on them,
Exo 40:15  and shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, and they shall serve as priests to Me. And their anointing shall be for them an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
Exo 40:16  And Mosheh did according to all that יהוה had commanded him, so he did.
Exo 40:17  And it came to be in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the Dwelling Place was raised up.
Exo 40:18  And Mosheh raised up the Dwelling Place and placed its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its columns,
Exo 40:19  and spread the tent over the Dwelling Place and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh.

Exo 40:33  And he raised up the courtyard all around the Dwelling Place and the altar, and placed the covering of the courtyard gate. And Mosheh completed the work.
Exo 40:34  And the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the esteem of יהוה filled the Dwelling Place.

Exo 40:36  And when the cloud was taken up from above the Dwelling Place, the children of Yisra’ĕl went onward in all their journeys.
Exo 40:37  But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up.
Exo 40:38  For the cloud of יהוה was on the Dwelling Place by day, and fire was on it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Yisra’ĕl, in all their journeys.
Haftorah: Melachiem א  7:51-8:21
1Ki 7:51  Thus all the work which Sovereign Shelomoh had done for the House of יהוה was completed. And Shelomoh brought in the set-apart items of his father Dawiḏ: the silver and the gold and the utensils, and he put them in the treasuries of the House of יהוה.
1Ki 8:1  Then Shelomoh assembled the elders of Yisra’ĕl and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Yisra’ĕl, to Sovereign Shelomoh in Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the covenant of יהוה from the City of Dawiḏ, which is Tsiyon.
1Ki 8:2  And all the men of Yisra’ĕl assembled to Sovereign Shelomoh at the festival in the month of Ěythanim, which is the seventh month.
1Ki 8:3  And all the elders of Yisra’ĕl came, and the priests took up the ark,
1Ki 8:4  and brought up the ark of יהוה, and the Tent of Meeting, and all the set-apart utensils that were in the Tent. And the priests and the Lĕwites brought them up,
1Ki 8:5  and Sovereign Shelomoh, and all the congregation of Yisra’ĕl who had assembled with him, were with him before the ark, slaughtering so many sheep and cattle, that they could not be counted or numbered.
1Ki 8:6  And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of יהוה to its place, into the Speaking Place of the House, to the Most Set-apart Place, under the wings of the keruḇim,
1Ki 8:7  for the keruḇim spread two wings over the place of the ark, and the keruḇim covered over the ark and its poles.
1Ki 8:8  And the poles extended so that the ends of the poles were seen from the set-apart place, in front of the Speaking Place, but they were not seen from outside. And they are there to this day.
1Ki 8:9  There was naught in the ark, only the two tablets of stone which Mosheh put there at Ḥorĕḇ, where יהוה made a covenant with the children of Yisra’ĕl, when they came out of the land of Mitsrayim.
1Ki 8:10  And it came to be, when the priests came out of the Set-apart Place, that the cloud filled the House of יהוה,
1Ki 8:11  so that the priests were unable to stand and perform the service because of the cloud, for the esteem of יהוה filled the House of יהוה.
1Ki 8:12  And Shelomoh said, “יהוה has said He would dwell in the dark cloud.
1Ki 8:13  I have indeed built You an exalted house, an established place for You to dwell in forever.”
1Ki 8:14  And the sovereign turned around and blessed all the assembly of Yisra’ĕl, while all the assembly of Yisra’ĕl was standing.
1Ki 8:15  And he said, “Blessed be יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, who spoke with His mouth to my father Dawiḏ, and with His hand has filled it, saying,
1Ki 8:16  ‘Since the day I brought My people Yisra’ĕl out of Mitsrayim, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Yisra’ĕl in which to build a house for My Name to be there, but I chose Dawiḏ to be over My people Yisra’ĕl.’
1Ki 8:17  “And it was in the heart of my father Dawiḏ to build a house for the Name of יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.
1Ki 8:18  “But יהוה said to my father Dawiḏ, ‘Because it has been in your heart to build a house for My Name, you did well that it was in your heart.
1Ki 8:19  ‘Only, you do not build the house, but your son, who is coming from your loins, he does build the house for My Name.’
1Ki 8:20  “Now יהוה has established His word which He spoke, and I have been raised up instead of my father Dawiḏ, and sit on the throne of Yisra’ĕl, as יהוה promised, and built a house for the Name of יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl,
1Ki 8:21  and have appointed there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of יהוה which He made with our fathers, when He brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim.”

Pekudei Aliya Summary

Description: http://www.chabad.org/images/global/spacer.gif
General Overview: This portion, Pekudei, describes the manufacture of the vestments of the priests and high priests -- which were already described in the portion of Tetzaveh, where G‑d instructs Moses how these garments are to be assembled. The Tabernacle is erected, and G‑d's presence dwells therein.

First Aliyah: This aliyah gives an exact accounting of the amounts of gold, silver and copper donated for the construction of the Tabernacle, as well as the vessels and building materials constructed with these supplies.

Second Aliyah: The high priest's ephod -- a reversed apron which covered the back -- and its precious-stone-studded shoulder straps were made. The High Priest's Choshen Mishpat ("Breastplate of Judgment") was assembled. It contained four rows of precious stones, each row containing three stones. Artisans engraved the names of the Twelve Tribes of Israel upon these twelve stones. The Choshen Misphat was then secured by straps which connected it to the ephod.

Third Aliyah: The rest of the priestly garments were completed: The high priest's me'il (blue robe adorned with golden bells and cloth "pomegranates") and tzitz (a golden band worn on the forehead, which was engraved with the words "Holy to G‑d"); and the four garments worn by both the high priest and the regular priests: tunics, turbans, sashes and pants. With this, the construction of the Tabernacle and all its vessels and accoutrement were finished.

Fourth Aliyah: The craftspeople brought their finished products to Moses. Moses saw that all the work had been done exactly to G‑d's specifications, and he blessed the workers.

Fifth Aliyah: G‑d instructed Moses to erect the Tabernacle on the first of Nissan. G‑d also instructed Moses to place all the Tabernacle's vessels in their proper places, and to anoint all of the items with the anointing oil, thus sanctifying them. Moses is also directed to dress Aaron and his sons in the priestly garments, and to anoint them, too.

Sixth Aliyah: This aliyah describes Moses' fulfillment of the abovementioned directives.

Seventh Aliyah: Moses completed the proper placement of the Tabernacle vessels. When Moses finished this task a Cloud of Glory and the Divine Presence filled the Tabernacle. This cloud also served as the Jews' guide throughout their desert sojourn: when the cloud lifted, the people would travel, following the cloud until it rested, where they would set up camp until the cloud would lift again.

Exo 35:20  And all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl withdrew from the presence of Mosheh.
Exo 35:21  And everyone whose heart lifted him up and everyone whose spirit moved him came, and they brought the contribution to יהוה for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all its service, and for the set-apart garments.

Exo 35:27  And the rulers brought shoham stones, and the stones to be set in the shoulder garment and in the breastplate,
Exo 35:28  and the spices and the oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.
Exo 35:29  The children of Yisra’ĕl brought a voluntary offering to יהוה, all the men and women whose hearts moved them to bring all kinds of work which יהוה, by the hand of Mosheh, had commanded to be done.
Exo 35:30  And Mosheh said to the children of Yisra’ĕl, “See, יהוה has called by name Betsal’ĕl son of Uri, son of Ḥur, of the tribe of Yehuḏah,
Exo 35:31  and He has filled him with the Spirit of Elohim, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work,
Exo 35:32  to make designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze,
Exo 35:33  and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving wood, and to work in all workmanship of design.
Exo 35:34  “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Oholiaḇ son of Aḥisamaḵ, of the tribe of Dan.
Exo 35:35  “He has filled them with skill to do all work of the engraver and the designer and embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in scarlet material, and in fine linen, and a weaver, doing any work, and makers of designs.

Exo 36:1  “And Betsal’ĕl and Oholiaḇ, and every wise-hearted man in whom יהוה has given wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all work for the service of the set-apart place, shall do according to all that יהוה has commanded.”
Exo 36:2  And Mosheh called Betsal’ĕl and Oholiaḇ, and every wise-hearted man in whose heart יהוה had given wisdom, everyone whose heart lifted him up, to come and do the work.
Exo 36:3  And they received from Mosheh all the contribution which the children of Yisra’ĕl had brought for the work of the service of making the set-apart place. But they still brought to him voluntary offerings every morning,
Exo 36:4  so all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the set-apart place came, each from the work he was doing,
Exo 36:5  and they spoke to Mosheh, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which יהוה commanded us to do.”
Exo 36:6  Then Mosheh commanded and they sent this word throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the contribution of the set-apart place.” And the people were withheld from bringing,
Exo 36:7  for what they had was enough for all the work to be done, more than enough.
Exo 36:8  Then all the wise-hearted ones among them who worked on the Dwelling Place made ten curtains woven of fine linen and blue and purple and scarlet material. They made them with keruḇim, the work of a skilled workman.
Exo 36:9  The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits, all the curtains having one measure.
Exo 36:10  And he joined five curtains, one to another; and the other five curtains he joined, one to another.
Exo 36:11  And he made loops of blue on the edge of the end curtain of one set, the same he did on the edge of the end curtain of the other set.
Exo 36:12  Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the end curtain of the second set; the loops held one curtain to another.
Exo 36:13  And he made fifty hooks of gold, and joined the curtains to each other with the hooks, and the Dwelling Place became one.

Vayakhel Aliya Summary

General Overview: In this week's portion, Vayakhel, Moses gathers the Jews and relays to them all the details regarding the construction of the Tabernacle and its vessels. The actual construction is also described. This portion repeats many of the details described in the portion of Terumah, wherein G‑d instructed Moses how the Tabernacle and its vessels were to be constructed.

First Aliyah: On the day after Moses descended from Mount Sinai with the Second Tablets, after successfully securing atonement for the sin of the Golden Calf, he gathered all the Jewish people. The primary purpose of this assembly was to inform the Jews of G‑d's desire for a Sanctuary to be constructed. He began, however, with a brief reminder regarding the observance of the Shabbat. This was followed by a description of the materials needed to construct the Tabernacle, and a list of the vessels, Tabernacle parts, and priestly garments which were to be produced.

Second Aliyah: The men and women came forward and generously donated all the materials which Moses enumerated.

Third Aliyah: Moses announces G‑d's choice of Bezalel and Oholiab to serve as foremen of the Tabernacle construction project, and he transfers to them all the donated materials. The people, however, continued donating generously, until the craftspeople report to Moses that they have more than enough materials to complete their task, causing Moses to issue a proclamation requesting everyone to cease donating materials.

Fourth Aliyah: The craftspeople began their work. In this aliyah, the tapestries which covered the Tabernacle were assembled.

Fifth Aliyah: The construction continued. In this aliyah, the craftspeople construct the Tabernacle wall panels, their sockets, the curtains which covered the entrance to the sanctuary and which separated the Holy of Holies from the rest of the sanctuary, the Ark, and the Showbread Table.

Sixth Aliyah: This aliyah describes the construction of the menorah (candelabra) and the Incense Altar. The anointing oil and the incense are also prepared.

Seventh Aliyah: The Tabernacle's construction is capped off with the construction of the Outer Altar, the copper wash stand, the mesh curtains which surrounded the Tabernacle courtyard, and the beams and hooks which anchored them.
